Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does floor sanding and polishing take?

It depends on the size and flooring material of your space. On average, it takes 3 to 5 days to work on a 20-30 square-metre space. It’s important to hire flooring specialists to ensure fast and reliable workmanship.

  • What is the most sustainable type of flooring?

Cork is the most sustainable floor because it is harvested from tree barks; a tree does not need to be cut down. A tree bark usually grows back after three years, making cork a renewable resource for flooring.

  • How do you fill gaps in parquet flooring?

You can fill the gaps with resin or any water based filler with fine dust. It’s the most cost-effective and efficient way because you can simply use the fine dust from your sanding process. The finer the dust, the better it is as filler.

  • Does cork flooring fade in sunlight?

Yes it does. The direct heat and prolonged exposure to the sun’s UV rays can cause discolouration and change in hue. Prevent this from happening by using blinds or curtains, rugs and furniture to block the sunlight.

  • What is the advantage of a floating floor?

Because this floor does not need to be glued to the subfloor, you can easily and quickly update your space and install another design that suits your taste. You can easily access a wide range of materials and patterns so installation is fast and affordable.
